Fathers and daughters can make memories once again Friday and Saturday at the Buford Community Center and Theater as the Kiwanis Club of North Gwinnett hosts the ninth annual Father Daughter Dance.

The club will host three dances: 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3; and 6-8 p.m. and 9-11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4. All three dances will be at 2200 Buford Highway in Buford.

Music will be provided by Scott Smith of Dance Master DJ. Light hors d’oeuvres will be at the 6 p.m. dances and a dessert assortment will be provided at the 9 p.m. Saturday dance. A professional photographer will be on hand to take pictures.

Tickets are $60 per couple plus $10 for each additional daughter. Tickets may be purchased at www.northgwinnettkiwanis.com. Because of limited capacity, only paying guests may attend.

All proceeds are reinvested back into the community in the form of scholarships for area high school seniors or for other community charitable needs.

The dance began in 2009 with a single dance of 188 participants and has grown to 850 attendees in 2015 in three dances.

The Kiwanis dances are open to daughters of all ages from youth to adult. Throughout the years, high school and college students have surprised their dads with a ticket.
