The Mountain Music and Medicine Show, a mix of bluegrass music and cornpone humor, returns to Dahlonega's Holly Theater on Saturday night.

The Mountain Music and Medicine Show returns to the Historic Holly Theater at 8 p.m. Saturday with another all-star lineup of entertainers.

The show features harmony singing, the sound of banjos and fiddles and the humor of Doc Johnson and "The Players," who tell the stories of the Lumpkin County area through legend and lore.

Presented live on stage at the Historic Holly Theater and recorded for broadcast on GPB, the Mountain Music & Medicine Show is three-time winner of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters award for best locally produced live radio show in Georgia.

Musical performers include some of Dahlonega's finest musicians, including The Buzzard Mountain Boys, Lumpkin County natives Joe Bob Matteson and Jim Bob White; The Solstice Sisters, Susan Staley, Maggie Hunter and Anna Durden, joined by bassist Dick Daniels and Lee Hiers on dobro; Sonny Houston and Friends; and local husband and wife duo Tom and Juli Theobald.

Doors open at 7:15 p.m. with the pre-show at 7:30 p.m. The radio show starts at 8 p.m.

Advanced seating is recommended. Tickets are $15.
