This weekend, "Willy Wonka" will be in North Georgia for laughs, and a little chocolate.

Roald Dahl’s timeless story comes to life with The Holly Performance Academy’s stage adaptation of "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory."

The production includes songs from the classic family film "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory." The memorable score features "The Candy Man," "Pure Imagination," "Oompa Loompa" and "I Want it Now."

With a flexible cast size, featuring roles for children and a tour-de-force role in the title character, "Willy Wonka" is neatly fitted into a new script adapted under the auspices of the Dahl Estate.

In addition to the show, The Historic Holly Theater and Paul Thomas Chocolates will give away six weekly tours led by local chocolatier Paul Hoffman. The tours will take place at 11 a.m. Saturdays with a maximum of 12 people.

Participants will receive a special chocolate that could hold a winning gold ticket for a top secret prize.

Tours will be coordinated through The Holly office by calling 706-864-3759 Monday through Friday.
