Fiction and non-fiction books along with children’s books, videos and other media will be up for grabs at the annual Friends of Hall County Library Used Book sale.

The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, and 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Gainesville branch of the Hall County Library. The building is at 127 Main St., Gainesville.

Most books cost 50 cents to $1. But the “fire sale” will begin at 3 p.m., which allows shoppers to fill a paper grocery bag with as many books for $5.

Funds from the sale will benefit the library system’s children’s programs. Specifically, the money will fund the Summer Reading Program, teen activities, adult initiatives, staff training and other improvements not funded by state or county funds.
