Among the numerous festivals budding across Flowery Branch this fall season, the LakeView Art Center will hold the annual ‘Fall in Love with Art’ festival Nov. 1.

The festival will mainly consist of individual artists’ displays, with each vendor conducting demonstrations and selling products. A range of techniques will be represented at the festival, including woodworking, pottery, beaded clothing, handcrafted jewelry and other specialties.

While an abundance of professionals will display their work, the festival will be no stranger to budding artists. LakeView Art Center Executive Director Karron Denaple revealed “(high school) students will exhibit their work, which is really exciting for them because they’ve never participated in a show before.”

As far as food, an organic-based food company will participate, but Denaple refrained from having food vendors at the event.

“I’d rather the local businesses get some customers from the festival than hire a food vendor that won’t get what they deserve in a few short hours,” Denaple said. “I’d rather the sandwich shop downtown get the benefits than hire someone else, so it all goes back to the community.”

The festival runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 1 in downtown Flowery Branch.
