Elachee Nature Science Center will host its family festival “Nightfall” from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at its main campus at 2125 Elachee Drive in Gainesville. Admission is $5 per person. Elachee members and children 2 and younger may enter for free.
Visitors may take off on a Trick-or-Treat trek on the trail and meet animal-costumed Elachee staff members with treats and stories. Storyteller Toni Hurst will spin funny and not-too-scary tales by the light of an October moon. Raptor expert Monteen McCord will wow participants with her fascinating Birds of Prey program at 6:30 p.m.
