To overcome his tendency to labor over a project, Chris Lundy committed himself to complete one painting a day.

His pledge led to multiple pieces, which are now part of his “A Painting A Day” exhibit at the Bowen Center for the Arts in Dawsonville.

Approximately 80 of his works will be on display from July 8-23 at 334 Ga. 9 North, next door to Lanier Technical College. An opening reception will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the Bowen Center.

Lundy’s recent works were drawn from observation, photographs and his imagination. A Dawsonville art teacher, Lundy will feature a large body of student artwork from his classrooms for the community to enjoy.

Admission to the Bowen is free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
