Nationally acclaimed arborist, champion tree hunter and hemlock hero Will Blozan will be the keynote speaker at Save Georgia’s Hemlocks’ annual meeting and members picnic Sunday, July 14, at Lake Winfield Scott.

Blozan is an author, president of the Eastern Native Tree Society, president of Appalachian Arborists Inc., and initiator of the Tsuga Search Project. Through his work and research during the past three decades, he has made a tremendous contribution to the efforts to save the hemlock from annihilation by an invasive insect, hemlock woolly adelgid.

All Save Georgia’s Hemlocks members and hemlock friends are invited to hear Blozan’s message. To reserve a space, email as spaces are likely to fill up quickly. For more information, visit or call 706-429-8010.
