Atlanta painter Paige Harvey, whose work is on display at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center, will conduct a painting workshop for inexperienced amateurs of any age.

The class “Paint with No Fear” will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Quinlan, 514 Green Street NE, in Gainesville. The workshop costs $10 for members and $25 for nonmembers.

The workshop’s emphasis will be on process rather than a particular technique.

Participants should bring one object from the garage, the attic or the basement. The object should be more than 10 inches in at least one direction and be an interesting shape. For example, an old bicycle wheel, broken tools or toys will be suitable.

The class is limited to 12 students. RSVP is required.
