Artist creates scavenger-style yearlong exhibit with Excursion in Cumming
0625-GO-EXCURSION
The “Excursion” exhibit begins on the first floor of the University of North Georgia Cumming campus building at 300 Aquatic Circle. At the location, a Quick Response Code links visitors to a map. Participants then may search out other art like in a scavenger hunt. Once the QR Code is located, another scan reveals an artist video work inspired by the location, including footage taken at the location.
Art enthusiasts willing to travel to see a new piece of work may trek across Cumming to experience art in a new way. Created by Didi Dunphy, “Excursion” is public artwork modeled after the idea of a scavenger hunt. The art is then spread across historic sites and the town of Cumming as well as the University of North Georgia Cumming campus.
