Here's a great tip from Julian Wilson: "New slacks and jackets frequently have size tags and other informational tags held on by what amounts to being plastic "staples" that have little "T" ends. If you just cut the plastic on the other side of the tag, the whole thing can come apart and the small plastic pieces may get lost in the material of the clothing and irritate you when wearing it. Just put a piece of masking tape across the "T" before cutting the other side. This will keep the small plastic pieces from getting lost.

I love link sausage, but I didn't enjoy cooking it until I got this tip. Put toothpicks between a pair of sausages lying side by side in the pan. By doing this you're keeping the sausages from rolling around in the pan and you only have to turn them over once. The cooked sausages look better, too.
When you move a piece of furniture that's been sitting on carpeting for a while, you'll have unsightly indentions in the carpet. There are a number of tips out there on how to remove the indentions, but I've found that just taking a coin and using the edge of it to fluff up the carpet works the best.
