Earth Sense: Beware of danger from Georgias flash floods

It doesn’t take a hurricane to produce flash floods in North Georgia. Summer thunderstorms at the beginning of this month prompted warnings in counties reaching from Dekalb to Habersham, and over into Elbert and many other places. Flash floods are sudden rises in stream waters that can quickly inundate roadways and neighborhoods.
