Following a search of a Gainesville home, two residents were arrested in connection with manufacturing marijuana, among other charges.

Clyde Allen Geiger, 33, and Sara Vasquez Hernandez, 31, were arrested Tuesday following an investigation by the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad unit.

When searching the Lakeshore Circle residence on Aug. 13, MANS agents discovered seven growing marijuana plants, processed marijuana, alprazolam, morphine and clonazepam.

The street value of the drugs seized — along with methamphetamine baggies, scales and packaging materials — is estimated at $16,005.

Geiger was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute three drugs — methamphetamine, alprazolam and morphine — in addition to marijuana possession and manufacturing marijuana. Hernandez was charged with possession of four drugs — methamphetamine, alprazolam, marijuana and clonazepam — in addition to manufacturing marijuana.

Geiger and Hernandez were booked into the Hall County Jail.

Alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax, is a narcotic. Clonazepam, commonly known as Klonopin, is an anti-anxiety drug.
