Holly Theater revives classic Broadway comedy

POSTED: July 10, 2014 1:00 a.m.

Borrowed from the classic film comedy “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” the Holly Theater will retell the same story in “Spamalot” this weekend in Dahlonega.

“Spamalot” is based on the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. It features a bevy of showgirls along with cows, killer rabbits and French people. The 2005 Broadway production was nominated for 14 Tony Awards, winning three of them including best musical.

Performances will be July 11-13, 18-20 and 25-27. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at 69 W. Main St. in Dahlonega.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for children.
