Updated Sept. 16:

Three people were transported for injuries after a multi-vehicle wreck Monday morning.

Browns Bridge Road was shut down while first responders handled the wreck in the area of Flat Creek Drive near the former Mincey Marble plant.

Michael Brandon Whitner, 29, of Lithonia, was driving a Dodge Journey when he crossed the center line and sideswiped a tractor trailer, said Georgia State Patrol Sgt. C.E. Parker.

The Dodge Journey then struck a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Brandon Alvarez, 22, of Cumming, Parker said.

“Debris from the collision then struck a Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by Charles Wayne Fallaw, 43, of Cumming,” Parker wrote in an email.

Whitner, Whitner’s passenger, Candice Lightning, 35, and Alvarez were transported for treatment of injuries.

Whitner was cited with failure to maintain lane.

Hall County Fire Services is working with Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Gainesville Police Department.

Hospital officials said Tuesday, Sept. 17, Whitner and Lightning were discharged from the emergency room. Alvarez was listed in fair condition.
