Local artist Cheryl Hardin has teamed up with Challenged Child and Friends to create this year’s Christmas cards.

Using a mixture of hand, foot and fingerprints, the cards show images of a dove, an angel, Santa Claus, a cardinal bird and some singing chickens. Challenged Child Director of Development Lee Highsmith said the cards are planned in advance, then staff members set out to get hand and foot prints from the children at the center, which offers therapy and education to developmentally disabled and mainstream students.

The cards cost $15 for 12 of one design, $25 for an assortment of 25 and are also sold in bulk quantities. For more information on ordering the cards, call Challenged Child and Friends at 770-535-8372.
