Dozens of high school seniors will receive awards Monday night as part of The Times' salute to the area's best and brightest.

The annual Academic All-Stars highlights 26 finalists and 27 semifinalists from Hall and Habersham counties. 

Students were asked to submit a cover letter along with a letter of recommendation, and they were also asked to name a teacher who had an influence on their life, academic and social organizations they belong to and their goals. 

The ceremony will take place Monday evening at the Featherbone Communiversity in Gainesville.
