Prep golf: White County girls place fifth

The White County girls golf team placed fifth in the Class AAA state tournament on Monday at the Trophy Club in Alpharetta.

The Lady Warriors improved last year’s finish when they placed seventh. Rosie Cochran led White County with a 93, finishing 10th overall. Sarah Holmes carded a 97 for the Lady Warriors.

White County finished 10 strokes ahead of Region 7-AAA champion Pickens.
