Gainesville police are investigating an armed robbery Saturday night at Super Mercado Carrillo El Guero.

A Hispanic man entered the business at 730 Pearl Nix Parkway at about 7:30 p.m. carrying a handgun. He removed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registers and then left the store, police said.

He was last seen leaving in a brown or beige Toyota Camry.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.

Police said the robber was in his 20s, 6 feet 1 inch tall and about 200 pounds.

He had a goatee and mustache and wore blue jean shorts, a blue shirt with white stripes, black sunglasses, a blue and white hat, and carried a black backpack, police said.
