The Brenau University soccer team was defeated 2-0 in a Southern States Athletic Conference game against Southern Wesleyan University on Thursday night in Central, S.C.

The Warriors (11-3-2, 4-3-1 SSAC) outshot Brenau 7-3 in the first half and scored both goals in the first half en route to the win.

The Golden Tigers (9-4-2, 4-2-1) outshot the Warriors 9-3 in the second half, but couldn’t capitalize to score.

Seniors Marilyn Anderson and Lily Futrell led Brenau in the loss.

The Golden Tigers visit Thomas University for a non-conference match at 1 p.m. today before finishing their regular season conference at Lee University, Tenn., at 7 p.m. Monday.
