Southern Explosion opens Dizzy Dean World Series with win

The Southern Explosion softball team opened the Dizzy Dean World Series with a 11-0 win against the Stingers of Houston, Miss. on Thursday.

Ashley Neal led Southern Explosion at the plate, with a fourth-inning grand slam. Halee Cash and Chelsea Dale each went 2-for-2 with and RBI and Kali Turner added an RBI.

Hannah pitched a complete-game shutout for Southern Explosion, who improve their record to 19-0.

The Southern Explosion will play Mathison, Miss., today in their second game of the Dizzy Dean World Series.
