Two merchants arrested on charges of gambling at convenience store

Two merchants were arrested at a Flowery Branch convenience store Thursday on charges of making cash payouts for video gambling machines.

Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad Lt. Scott Ware said a search warrant was carried out Thursday at the Shell station at 5052 McEver Road. Authorities seized $1,400 during the search.

Anjuna Patel, 41, and Paresh Patel, 43, were arrested and charged with commercial gambling and keeping a gambling place.
