Kelly Lee of Wells Fargo Advisors in Gainesville has been recognized by Wells Fargo for her contributions to her local community by volunteering with Challenged Child and Friends.Along with receiving a volunteer service award from the bank, Lee also won $1,000 for the nonprofit, which serves special needs children through a full-inclusion pre-school program.

GSC honor student Brittany Barron recently had her poetry selected for publication in the 2012 edition of Sanctuary, a literary arts journal of the Southern Regional Honors Council. Barron is the daughter of Jerry and Deborah Barron and granddaughter of Charles and Marjorie Barron.
