North Georgia resident Luke Pilgrim has been awarded The McClure-Scanlin Award at The University of North Georgia in Dahlonega.

Choral Explosion No. 12 was April 14 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Cleveland. The Lumpkin County Varsity Singers, the Brenau Chamber Vocal Ensemble, the University of North Georgia Chorale Singers and Le Belle Voci participated in the event. The program was especially memorable as it was the first time music groups from the newly consolidated University of North Georgia Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses performed in the same concert.
