Felecia Doyle's business document processing class at Flowery Branch High School recently did an activity with Mrs. Waycasters' kindergarten class at Flowery Branch Elementary School. The older students created personalized activity sheets for the kindergartners. The activity sheet emphasized their sight words, beginning sounds and counting.

Leslie McAbee was rececntly inducted as a Peace Corps volunteer during a ceremony in Antananarivo, Madagascar. She will serve two years on the island, where she will teach English. McAbee is the daughter of Randy and Rita McAbee of Dahlonega and the granddaughter of Bertha Anderson of Dahlonega and Harold and Emily McAbee of Gainesville. Students from Chestatee, East Hall, Flowery Branch and the Lanier Charter Career Academy recently attended the International DECA Conference in Anaheim, Calif. More than 16,000 students from around the world competes in marketing-based events.
