Ann Goble of Gainesville has been accepted into the annual member's exhibition for Women Artists of the West held in Fredericksburg, Texas.WAOW is a national organization with more than 300 award winning, professional women painters and sculptors from across the country.
For their academic performance during fall semester 2012, the following students were named to the North Georgia College & State University Dean's List. Students achieving a 3.5 grade point average and carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester are placed on the Dean's List. Students also must have no grade lower than B:
GSC honor student Brittany Barron recently had her poetry selected for publication in the 2012 edition of Sanctuary, a literary arts journal of the Southern Regional Honors Council. Barron is the daughter of Jerry and Deborah Barron and granddaughter of Charles and Marjorie Barron.
The Jackson EMC Foundation, a charity funded by the donations of the cooperative's members through the Operation Round Up program, has awarded $46,600 to four agencies that provide programs or services to the residents of Hall County.

Anyone who has wandered through the lobby of the Visual Technology Building on the Clarkesville campus of North Georgia Technical College may view an array of images captured by students in the photography program. But once a year the studio doors are thrown open for a public viewing with visitors getting up close and personal with the budding photographers.

North Hall's Andrew James Cape earned first place in the proficiency competition for dairy production placement at the 87th Georgia FFA State Convention last month. The event was held April 23-25 at the Macon Centreplex.
