James and Ermie Whitey of Dawsonville celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 6, 2008. A reception held in their honor was held by their daughter Susan Edwards of Dahlonega. They also celebrated with an anniversary vacation to Fort Meyers Beach, Fla., with a multitude of family.
