Look what I grew!

Every year, Anastacia Rodriguez and her husband John grow watermelons to share with the Gainesville-Hall County Senior Center. This year's crop was a beauty, and it took John and two other men to get this melon into the trunk of Anastacia's car. Gloria Wilms, coordinator at the center, said they would cut it up and serve it to everyone at the center that day.

Motorcycle accident kills Lanier Tech student

Terrance Putman, 23, of Gainesville was killed in a motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning, Gainesville police said.

Lt. Floyd Canup said police and emergency medical personnel responded to a location on Hunter Street. They discovered that a motorcycle left the road, struck a utility pole and ejected the driver.
