24 die on state roads during holiday

A fatal wreck Friday in Dawson County was among the 3,325 crashes statewide that killed 24 people during the 102-hour Christmas holiday travel period.

Gwinnett County: Suwanee man killed in I-85 accident

A Suwanee man was killed early Sunday morning after losing control of his vehicle on Interstate 85 northbound at the Interstate 985 split.

Preliminary investigation by Gwinnett County Police indicates William T. Rollins, 31, of Suwanee lost control of the white 2003 Nissan 350Z he was driving, left the roadway and went onto the shoulder. The vehicle rotated through the grassy shoulder and hit several trees before coming to rest, according to Gwinnett Police.
