West Hall High School was set to open on time and get back to a normal routine this morning, after a transformer that caught fire Thursday was replaced over the weekend.

Flowery Branch band members ‘stoked’ over day in spotlight

"Stoked" is how Flowery Branch High School senior and band pit captain Caitlin White describes her feelings about performing in the Georgia Dome tonight.

As the Flowery Branch football team has traveled around the state to win 12 out of 14 games this fall, including four straight state playoff games, all 91 members of the school's marching band have been in tow.

West Hall High classes are on for Monday

Hall County school administrators say they are 90 percent confident that West Hall High School will hold classes on schedule Monday following an electrical blaze Thursday night that left the school powerless and kept students out of school Friday.

Jackson EMC crews installed a new transformer Friday in the high school's electrical room, which is detached from the main school building at 5506 McEver Road.
