Storms hit Jackson hard

The Georgia State Patrol and other area law enforcement agencies responded to numerous wrecks Sunday in the Hall County area, but most were not serious.

In Jackson County, one of the areas hit hardest by the storm, Sheriff's Maj. David Cochran said Sunday night that officers had worked a number of accidents because of dangerous roads. About 10,000 homes were without power in Jackson, Banks and Barrow counties.
