DOT starts bidding on traffic signal projects

Friday morning, the Georgia Department of Transportation opened the three bids submitted for a project to replace traffic signals at 11 intersections in downtown Gainesville.

The apparent low bidder of the project is World Fiber Technologies out of Alpharetta, which submitted a bid of $1,849,573.44, according to Teri Pope, DOT spokeswoman.
