Defendants ask judge to dismiss motorsports park lawsuit

DAWSONVILLE - The parties named in a lawsuit aimed at blocking plans for a motorsports country club in western Dawson County hope a judge will dismiss the case next month.

The city of Dawsonville, EHK (Ernie Elliott) Investments and Jeremy Porter, founder of Atlanta Motorsports Park, have filed motions to dismiss the civil suit.

Rabid skunk in North Hall is county's 15th case this year

The Gainesville-Hall County Animal Control Department today confirmed the county's 15th rabies case of the year involving a skunk in North Hall.

The rabid skunk came in contact with three dogs Monday in the Green Drive area. The animal was shipped the next day to the Georgia Public Health Lab-Virology Section in Decatur, where it was confirmed to be rabid.
