Getting to Know: Robert James

At 16-years-old, Robert James was an unhappy cornerback at Maryvale High School in Glendale, Ariz.. In fact, he was so disgruntled he almost walked away from the game during his junior year. But eventually he learned to embrace the defensive side of the ball, and sticking with it has paid off. A fifth-round pick in April's NFL draft, James is now fighting for a spot on the Atlanta Falcons depth chart. FLOWERY BRANCH – The Atlanta Falcons today signed fifth round (154th overall) draft selection, defensive end Kroy Biermann to a four-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Biermann, 6-3, 241 pounds, played in 52 career games at the University of Montana and totaled 220 tackles, 32 sacks (the second most in school history), 45 tackles for loss, nine forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries.
