Lake Lanier Fishing Report: Look deep for best bass

Water temperatures on Lake Lanier are in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. The lake level continues to rise and is at 1,064.86 feet, or 6.14 feet below the full pool of 1,071. The main lake water is clear to stained and the creeks and rivers are slightly to very stained in the backs. The Chattahoochee River below Buford dam is clear.

Lake Lanier Fishing Report: Bass found deep and wide

Water temperatures have fluctuated this past week but are averaging around 50 degrees. The lake level continues to come up and is at 1064 feet, or seven feet below the full pool of 1071. More rains are forecast for the next week and I believe we could come up to full pool by March if all goes well. The main lake water is clear and the creeks and rivers are stained to muddy in the backs. The Chattahoochee River below Buford Dam is clear.

Lake Lanier Fishing Report: Lake levels rise rapidly

Water temperatures are right around 50 degrees. The lake level has risen considerably in the last month and is at 1,063.14 or 7.86 below a full pool of 1,071. It will be a little higher by the time you read this article as the recent storms run off enters the lake. The main lake water is clearer down lake and stained to the north, and the creeks and rivers are stained to muddy in the backs. The Chattahoochee River below Buford Dam is clear.

Fishing report: Cooler temps don't dampen bass fishing

Water temperatures are in the low 50s. The lake level has risen considerably in the last month and is at 1,062.09 feet or 8.91 below a full pool of 1,071 so we are moving in the right direction. Water Conditions: Lake Lanier's water level remains close to full pool. The lake water level is 1,070.68 feet or .32 feet below a full pool of 1,071. The creeks are stained from pollen, but the water ranges from clear in the mouths on back to muddy from rain runoff flowing in from the creeks.

Lake water temperatures range mostly from the mid to upper 60's but there is cooler water flowing in from the rivers up the lake and some warmer water in the lower lake shallow pockets.
