Today's regular season finale for Lakeview Academy (22-1, 15-0) is simply a formality with the Region 8-A and home field advantage to open the Class A state playoffs already locked up. The only motivating factor for the Lions today against Hebron Christian (19-3, 12-3) is to round out the regular season with an undefeated region mark heading into next Friday's opening round of the postseason.

North Hall boys golf comes in at No. 1

Three area golf teams are ranked in the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association Boys AAA Poll released Tuesday. North Hall leads all Class AAA teams, receiving five first-place votes to earn the top ranking. Only second-ranked Columbus had a first-place vote. Lumpkin County comes in at fourth, while Gainesville follows three spots back at seventh.
