Weather forces cancellations

With the threat of icing on the roads Saturday night, many high school games have been postponed. Flowery Branch's home game against Loganville, and North Hall's game against Gainesville have both been cancelled. No make up date has been announced.

Lakeview trumps Athens Christian to take over second place

The Lakeview Academy boys broke a tie for second in Region 8-A with a 59-36 win against Athens Christian on Friday in Gainesville. Now the Lions (10-8, 9-2 Region 8-A) get a chance at the team on top with a game at region frontrunner Commerce on Tuesday in Commerce.
