Flowery Branch rolls in North Fall Classic

It's pretty simple to figure out why the Flowery Branch High softball team was so successful against North Hall on Saturday in the North Fall Classic at North Hall. In each inning, the lead-off hitter started the inning with a hit and came around to score for the Lady Falcons (15-11) as they went on to win 8-0 in five innings.

Chestatee High running back Ben Souther has big shoes to fill, if tradition holds steady in the War Eagle football program. Playing in an option-based offense, the War Eagles' running backs will get plenty of chances to show what they can do with the ball.

Correction: North Hall volleyball pair on Athlete of the Week honorable mention list

Due to a reporter's error, North Hall volleyball players Evann Rowland and Kathryn Bell were left off the Honorable Mentions list for Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Rowland amassed 11 kills, 37 digs and 13 aces while Bell had 65 assists, 10 kills and eight aces in eight matches last week.
