Buford's Hosch headed to Georgia

Buford High senior quarterback Twoey Hosch has accepted a preferred walk-on spot to play football at the University of Georgia in the fall. Hosch picked Georgia over Jacksonville State. He finished his career with Buford with a 27-1 record as starting quarterback. In his career, Hosch completed 145 of 242 passes for 2,635 yards and led the Wolves to the Class AA state title in 2007.

Prep scoreboard: White County golfer sets school record

White County's Sarah Holmes connected on two birdies and shot a new nine-hole school record (38) to lead the Lady Warriors to a tri-match victory against Dawson County and West Hall on Thursday night at Mossy Creek in Cleveland. White County carded an 85, Dawson County shot a 94 and West Hall finished with a 102.

Bailey signs with Western Kentucky

East Hall High graduate Korentheus Bailey signed a letter of intent on Tuesday to attend Western Kentucky University next year to play football. Bailey was a Times 2006 First Team All County selection as Hall County's leading tackler with 118 tackles and 22 tackles for a loss. Bailey originally committed to play at Mississippi State his senior season.

On top of that, the visitors from Whitefield Academy (19-8) are bigger, stronger, and almost always playing for a Class A title this time of the year.
