On a wet night where a constant mist kept fans searching for cover, the Oglethorpe County Patriots (1-7, 0-7 Region 8-AA) were constantly searching for Riverside Military Academy's Julian Suber, who has lined up at various positions this season and even scored touchdowns by four different methods in a game earlier this season (passing, rushing, receiving, and returning).

Dawson County high senior Seth Stowers was named Academic Athlete of the Week by Prep Sports Plus. Stowers, who plays basketball, soccer, cross country for the Tigers, is ranked seventh in his class with a 97.29 grade point average and is a three-time class president.

North Georgia Christian football has an eye on the future

It was the fourth win of the season for the small private school nestled behind Westminster Presbyterian Church on Thompson Bridge Road, and while it didn't give the Chargers (4-5) a winning record, it did demonstrate the strides the fledgling program has made.
