From staff reports
North Hall boys basketball coach Benjie Wood wasn't too interested in hearing excuses from those inside the locker room on why they wouldn't succeed this season. Wood, who has succeeded coaching both girls and boys during his career in Hall County, knew that hard work would more than make up for lack of returning talent on the Trojans roster this season.
OAKWOOD – Johnson High boys basketball coach Jeff Steele is looking for answers to his team's late season slide. With the Knights' (10-10, 2-4 Region 7B-AAA) 78-66 loss to Creekview on Saturday, they've now dropped five in a row heading into Tuesday's subregion matchup against West Hall.
As Madison Caldwell walked the fairway at Horseshoe Bend Country Club in Roswell, the Dawson County senior doubled over in the pain that she was feeling in the right side of her stomach, taking the breath out of her lungs for a second or two.
Gainesville High senior Spencer Ralston earned second place, behind a strong third-round 67, at the Georgia Junior Championship on Wednesday in Augusta. Ralston, the Class AAAAA Golfer of the Year, finished the 54-hole, three-day outing with a total score of 8-under (208).
