The Red Elephants drew the luck of the draw having to play all three fellow playoff qualifiers from last season - Flowery Branch, North Hall and Lumpkin County - consecutively.

The Falcons (7-0, 3-0 Region 7-AAA) finished the game with nine hits, highlighted by eight runs and six hits in the sixth inning. Each team had seven errors in the game.
