Prep golf: Johnson boys, Gainesville girls hold lead in county championships

FLOWERY BRANCH - Anyone looking for a champion to be crowned during the opening day of the Hall County championships will have to wait another day. It's very close with individual and team titles still completely up for grabs in the two-day, 18-hole event that began on Monday at Royal Lakes in South Hall.

In wintry conditions Saturday, North Hall's boys golf team took third place in the Coal Mountain Classic played at the Hampton Golf Village in Cumming. South Forsyth won with a 169, followed by North Forsyth at 171 and the Trojans at 174.
