Keith Wells has decided where he is going to take his football game to the next level, and this time he isn't going to change his mind. Gainesville High's highly recruited defensive end prospect decided to verbally commit to Ohio State on Monday and will sign with the Buckeyes Wednesday on national signing day.

A.C. Bailey led the Falcons (19-3, 8-0 Region 7B-AAA) with 12 points and eight rebounds en route to a 57-46 win over West Forsyth on Friday in Flowery Branch. With the win the Falcons clinch the subregion title and No. 1 seed for the Region 7-AAA tournament. Ishmael Hollis added 11 points for Flowery Branch.

Chestatee's Chase Vasser commits to Bulldogs

The Class of 2008 recruiting class isn't even officially finalized yet, but the University of Georgia's 2009 class is already taking shape. And for the third year in a row the Bulldogs will be taking a member of The Times Football All-County or All-Area team.

Chestatee's Chase Vasser, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior linebacker, became Georgia's third commitment for the class of 2009 on Monday.

Sophomore Grogan paces region-leading Lakeview girls

Junior D'Marcus Simonds had a typical big night scoring, junior center Tyler Scott was key inside with hitting baskets and changing the direction of Trojans shots, and K.J. Buffen scored a number of early baskets for the Red Elephants.
