Four local soccer programs ranked in coaches poll

Four local high school boys soccer teams are ranked in this week's Top 10 by the Georgia High School soccer coaches poll. Habersham Central stayed the same from last week at No. 8 in the Class AAAA rankings.

Jackson County baseball clinic planned

The Jackson County High baseball camp for first-seventh grade is 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at the school's baseball field and indoor hitting facility. The camp will be instructed by Jackson County coach Tommy Fountain and his assistant coaches. The cost for the camp is $25 per child. The second annual Jackson County Panther Baseball Alumni Game and home run derby will follow the conclusion of the camp.

Flowery Branch softball camp planned

The Flowery Branch High softball camp for fourth-eighth grade is June 7-11 at Flowery Branch High. Lady Falcons coach Laura Novotny-Beaver and assistants will direct the camp. The cost per camper is $75 before May 21 and $100 afterward.
