Letter: Deal backed religious freedom before, now changes his tune

While he was in Congress, Gov. Nathan Deal supported wholeheartedly the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. The federal RFRA law contains the same wording included in the Georgia RFRA bill. I understand that the governor pledged to sign a bill containing the language of the federal law. Gov. Deal is now unwilling to support this bill.

Letter: Hall County should turn Glades Reservoir project over to private sector

It was certainly good news for the taxpayers of Hall County when it was decided that Glades Reservoir was not needed for future water supply. We have already spent nearly $20 million on this project with nothing to show for it. (I am embarrassed that as a Hall Commissioner in the 1990s, I had a part in the beginning of this boondoggle!)
