MARYVILLE, Tenn. - While the congregation at Cedar Point Church grows in its faith, members are starting a new community outreach that has them growing green, leafy veggies and lush tomatoes on an acre of land behind the church.

During the past few days, the office has received a fair number of calls, emails and visits from residents wondering about little foamy masses on the tips of evergreen trees such as the Leyland cypress.
"I would never do this move on land," said Shannon Mooney, who was exercising next to me as we thrust our hips forward and back to the beat of the music blaring in the warm pool room Thursday night at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center.
At first glance, Mary Louise Clark appears to be an average resident of Gainesville. What can't be seen, however, is the 30 years she spent as missionary in Zimbabwe and the famine, sickness and civil war she endured.
