The football schedule just got heavier for Region 8-AA.
Rival coaches have respect for each other
Respect is not a word used very often to describe any aspect of the rivalry between North Hall and Gainesville. Except when you talk to the two head coaches, who despite the hatred between the two schools, have an admiration for one another.

OAKWOOD - The game plan was simple, and White County executed it to perfection. War Eagles ride senior’s arm past Knights, 49-13
OAKWOOD - On this night, the option was the pass. And Scott Chewning did it well. Chestatee High's senior quarterback threw for 214 yards and three touchdowns as the War Eagles rode big plays to their first victory of the season, 49-13 over Johnson at Billy Ellis Memorial Stadium.

Towns County (0-3) started a freshman at every spot on the offensive line Friday against Copper Basin (4-0). Towns County visits Hayesville (N.C.) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
North Oconee shuts out Commerce 43-0
North Oconee shut out Commerce 43-0 Friday night in Commerce. The Titans were led by David Pinkerton's two rushing scores and a receiving touchdown. North Oconee (2-0) had 356 yards of offense compared to Commerce's 48. Commerce (0-3) visits Washington Wilkes at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Hart County bests Union County, 33-7
Jesse Wright threw for the Panthers' lone touchdown on Friday as Hart County (1-1-1, 0-0 Region 8B-AA) beat Union County 33-7 in Blairsville.
