Just 12 days ago, a missed free throw and a last second jump shot came between the University of North Georgia women's basketball team and a home victory over Georgia College, but the Saints were able to turn things around in the teams' next meeting and defeated the Bobcats 58-48 on Thursday in Milledgeville.

Chestatee grad Jovaag named SSA Player of the Week

Oglethorpe senior guard and Chestatee High graduate Branden Jovaag was named the Southern Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Jovaag averaged 17.7 points per game and shot 54.1 percent as Oglethorpe went 2-1 last week.
