The fourth-ranked University of North Georgia softball team continued winning with a doubleheader sweep against North Greenville University on Wednesday in Dahlonega. The Saints took the first game 1-0 and finished with a 10-0 win in five innings in Game 2.

The University of North Georgia softball team has climbed eight spots from to fourth in the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll of the season following an 11-2 start. Valdosta State University, the 2012 NCAA Division II national champion, remained atop the standings 14 first-place votes thanks to a 9-1 record.
Brenau swim takes fourth in conference championship
The Brenau University swim team placed fourth in the Appalachian Swim Conference Championship over the weekend in Barbourville, Ky.
